OU Health opens 72-bed pediatric behavioral health center

Oklahoma City-based OU Health’s Oklahoma Children’s OU Health celebrated the Nov. 4 grand opening of a 72-bed pediatric behavioral health center, which the system said is the state’s first comprehensive pediatric behavioral health center integrated with a children’s hospital. The Oklahoma Children’s OU Health Behavioral Health Center is expected to begin treating patients in December. It will pair psychiatric treatment with pediatric medical expertise and offer inpatient and outpatient services for children and adolescents who need intensive or coordinated care.
